What you own
One sentence: every client is on a program the founder would put his name on, and the assistant coach never goes a week without a review.
The team you join
| Who | Owns |
|---|---|
| Joe, Head Coach | The method, the standard, the client relationship at signing, final say on escalations. |
| You, Lead Coach | Program quality for every client, the assistant coach's output, the escalation queue. You are who the assistant coach comes to before Joe. |
| Assistant Coach | Weekly check-ins, client replies, loading programs into Trainerize, form video requests and feedback, logging every touch. |
| The software | Drafts programs, flags missing data, recommends progress or hold, reminds about homework. It never decides. You do. |
Outcomes in your first 90 days
- Every active client has an approved program with a named phase and a phase end date.
- Weekly check-in completion holds at 90 percent or better for 8 straight weeks.
- No escalation sits open more than 7 days.
- Every client sends at least one form video a month and gets written feedback within 48 hours.
- New clients get a coach and a program within 48 hours of signing.
Your week
About 5 to 8 hours at the current roster. Program templates already exist, so new client programs are a customize job, not a blank page. Add about 15 minutes a week per added client.
| When | What | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 30 minute review with Joe: the scorecard, program decisions that need him, method questions. | 0.5 h |
| Mon to Wed | Review the assistant coach's completed check-ins, about 10 minutes each. Agree or override the progression. Close or escalate every flag. | 2 to 3 h |
| Any day | New client programs from our templates plus the Program Builder, about an hour each, a couple a month. Progressions every 3 to 4 weeks, about 20 minutes each. | 1.5 to 2.5 h |
| Thursday | Form video audit: who has not sent one, which feedback is overdue. | 1 h |
| Friday | 20 minute review with the assistant coach on the scorecard and next week's priorities. | 0.5 h |
How you are measured, every Friday
- Check-in completion rate, on time by Sunday
- Average momentum score across completed check-ins
- Escalations open over 7 days
- Program changes logged properly versus check-ins that needed one
- Form videos requested, received and answered within 48 hours
- Check-ins you reviewed within 24 hours
Who this is for
You
- Train hybrid yourself. Calisthenics skill work, weights, and some form of conditioning or combat training are part of your own week.
- Have programmed muscle gain and fat loss together for real clients, through at least one full phase cycle.
- Can look at a week of check-in data and call progress, hold or pull back, and explain why in two sentences.
- Write clearly. Your program notes get loaded by someone else and read by a client.
- Push back. If a draft is wrong you say so, including when the draft came from the founder.
Not you
- You want to sell. There are no sales calls in this role.
- You want to be the face. The client relationship belongs to the assistant coach and the founder.
- You program bodybuilding splits only and call mobility a warm up.
- You need every decision made for you. The point of this role is that fewer decisions reach Joe.
Pay and the process
Pay
Pay is stated on the first call.
How hiring works
- Apply below. Ten minutes. Three written answers matter most.
- 20 minute call with Joe. Your training, your coaching, how you think about a client who stalls.
- A paid test. 2 to 3 hours of your time, paid whether or not you are hired. You build a 4 week program from a real style brief, record a 5 minute walkthrough, and review two real check-ins. The full test is public, read it now.
- 30 day paid trial. Real clients, the real weekly rhythm, the Friday scorecard. Then the decision, both ways.
